I got a new computer recently, a hp pavilion, and it came
preinstalled with windows xp. Well I wanted to try out
another opperating system so I installed that, well my
problem is I don't have the windows xp install disk to
reinstall windows xp. Well I need it back and I'm just
wondering how I can go about obtaining a disk without
having to buy the operating system all over again. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

It came with an HP recovery cd. If it didn't, take it back to
where you bought it and get a recovery cd.

No it didn't, Hp's don't come with recovery cd's anymore.
They only come with the recovery partition as it states in
the guide that came with the computer.
