Hmm I tried that, the whole hard drive was wiped including
the xp restore partition. Is the only other way to get it
from a disk? Because I called them and they told me they
would send me an install disk but after 15 min's on the
phone with them, they hung up on me so I don't know what
to do. Thanks for the help also.

Shawn;
If the recovery partition is all that was provided and you wiped that
as well, contact HP.
They can send you the CD...for a cost ($10 I think).
Also check your invoice, some HP computers do not come with a CD but
others do.
