I bought a Compaq EVO N180 Notebook with XP Pro installed
Then I picked up a Yamaha CD-RW USB 2,0 24-10-40
Now when I tried to get a USB 2 pccard bus pcmcia card to
work using NERO 5.10 (latest updaste from ahead)It see the
CD-RW in both windows and NERO. When I try to burn anything
it gets to about 5% and starts spinning up CD-RW and thats
as far as it gets. I have to use task manager to close
NERO and turn off power to CD-RW to get NERO releast in
task manager. It never writes to disk at all according to
NERO. I have tried 3 different pccard bus cards all NEC
chips. I reinstalled NERO once. The Yamaha has latest
firmware as does the notebook (bios). It just seems like
all is well till I try to write to a blank cd-r then it
hangs. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. wireman
