I am running Windows XP Home. I am the computer administrator. When
I try to run the Registry Editor, XP tells me that registry editing
has been disabled by the Administrator. I know how to go to the
Administrator Account (boot in Safe Mode) but I still can not find how
to enable registry editing.
Anybody got any help? Thanks
Jerry

You do not need to boot into Safe Mode to get to the Administrator. If
that's what you're doing then that couldbe the source of your problem.

See www.dougknox.com, Security, Disable/Enable Registry Editing Tools. This
small VB Script will modify the Registry to remove this restriction. While
not in the XP Section, it works on 95/98/Me/Win 2K and XP. If the first
time you run the script, it says the Registry Editing Tools are Disabled,
run it again.
