How to detect a Sharp mini-DV camcorder in Win-XP?

As many people here reported camcorder detection problems, I have the same
camcorder detection problem through a firewire port in my labtop. Any idea?

OS: Win-XP Home
Labtop: Firewire port available
(IEEE 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller Vendor is seen
in my system)
This is my 1st time to use this firewire port.
Camcorder: Sharp Viewcam VL-Z3U
As posted so often here, I connected to AC power and set
in Video play mode.
