I have just been upgraded to from Windows 2000 to Windows
XP and have been customizing my computer. When I'm in a
folder, for example, My Documents, and select "View" I
noticed that the selection for Small Icons vs. Large Icons
is no longer there - all it says is "Icons". Does anyone
know what happened to that selection? I prefer the small
icon view in only one of my folders. All other folders I
view by details. Thank you for your help!

Kim;
Not an option. You can have large or small icons on the Toolbar.
Right click the Toolbar | Customize Toolbar
[[You can change the location of the button labels and the size of the
toolbar icons by changing Text Options or Icon Options.]]
Viewing files and folders overview
[[Windows provides several new ways for you to arrange and identify your
files when viewing them in folders, such as My Documents. When a folder is
open, you can access each of the following view options on the View menu.
Show in Groups
Thumbnails
Tiles
Filmstrip
Icons
Icons view displays your files and folders as icons. The file name is
displayed under the icon; however, sort information is not displayed. In
this view you can display your files and folders in groups.]]
