I just did a fresh install of XP Pro, and i had a
secondary drive in the computer. XP set up the secondary
drive as C: and the boot/system drive as D:.

I try to use Disk Management to change the boot/system
drive to C: but i get "Windows cannot modify the drive
letter of the boot/system volume"

Is there a workaround?

First, unhide the C:\ and D:\ root directories and tell me where the
boot.ini, NTLDR, and NTDETECT files are located, C: or D:?
