how do you charge ink

hi,
I just got new black and colour ink for my computer. i
followed the instrustions on how to install it by using
the printer software cd but the ink still shows up empty?
How do I charge it?

Curious.. is there film or tape you may have overlooked- covering the
contacts or the head of the cartridge?

Are they recycled ink cartridges? Those with chips, such as
HP 15 and HP 78 may have ink but the chip doesn't re-set.
Many new style inkjets have these chips that report
estimated amount of ink remaining.

What make / model of printer do you have?

For your computer eh? You really do have problems if you're putting ink
cartridges in your computer! Ink cartridges belong in a printer. ;o)

Anyway, as my crystal ball isn't working, all I can suggest is your RTFM,
RTFH or VTFWS.

Did you remove the little plastic strips from the ink cartridges?
