balank error dialog window

When i try to install a custom built delphi application
and try to run setup a blank error dialog box is
displayed and the applications install shield closes.
why?

Maybe you don't have the latest version of Windows Installer? Look on
the ms site for Windows Installer 2.0, download and install it.
