Lexmark x83

My x83 printer works fine as stand alone printer copier
etc, when installed on my computer it runs fine till i
shutdown when I start up it cannot communicate with the
printer. I must uninstall and then reinstall software it
will run till I shut down again Lex tells me their
software is fine and I'm running windows xp
home.appreciate any help

How are you connecting your x83 to your PC?
