adding pluggins ie. web cam,printer

my computer does not recognise usb ive checked system and
lost how to restore the files for usb drivers and other
support stuff ?
tried to download new hardware but it doesnt seem to work.
found new hardware wizard displays the mouse yet searches
for unknown hardware also keyboard same and usb. can you
tell me how can i use wizard if the search is unkown and
how can i find software or drivers for mouse,keyboard and
usb devices.

There is usually installation software that comes with
specialty mice, keyboards and usb. Otherwise, there are
xp drivers nested within xp to load default drivers for
generic devices.
