I am getting quite a few BSOD Error Messages listing:
NV4_disp.dll
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
These are STOP messages with 0x00000050 etc. addresses.
I am using an Nvidia Geforce4 MX420 video card with
Nvidia's most up to date drivers.
Any suggestions would be gretly appreciated.
Thank You

Scott,
Thanks for telling us you've installed the latest driver, because that makes
diagnosis easier. You see, Nvidia's latest Detonator is only certified for
cards using the FX chipset. Use with other chipsets may cause the exact
error you're seeing. You need to roll back the driver (if possible) or use
System Restore to go back to a point before the driver was installed (XP
creates a restore point before any critical installation). You then need to
go back to the website and download the 40.72 driver as that's the only one
certified for any chipset, other than the FX. Either go back yourself, or
follow this link http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_40.72.
If you're willing to take a gamble, the WHQL candidate driver 41.09 may also
work, but I'd play it safe and go with the 40.72.
