Hi,
I'm trying to use the GUI-based CD-Recording process in Windows XP, but the
format option in My Computer is greyed out. How can I get it to work?

Hi Harry,
Thanks for the prompt response. However, do you or anyone else know of a
winxp gui program I can use? I'm not very programming savvy, and I'm rather
confused as to how to use the command line program. Thanks.

XPs built in software does not format CDs nor does it have a "format
command". Where do you see this option?

Give Nero a try. www.nero.com It has a 30 day trialware program which is
excellent. You should read up on CD Burning in XP at Alex Nichol's site
which I have a link to from here
