intellimouse wheel problems

The wheel in my mouse is half working. I does work some,
but is very hard to deal with. Is the wheel itself going
bad? Please help. I have been searching for problems
solving issues for hours and have no answers to my
problem. Thank you.

It's a possibility that the wheel is bad; try another mouse to confirm that.

Suggest you check your product warranty period and if covered, just call
Microsoft (or other manuf.) to have them send you a replacement mouse.
Microsoft is very good at correcting such problems and usually don't require
you to send in the old mouse.
