Only since a few days, both my Plextor CD-R PX-W1210S and
my Pioneer DVD-304 devices are inaccessible. In device
manager, they are marked yellow. I have an Adaptec SCSI
Card 19160 (Ultra 160 SCSI) in an Intel Atlanta (P3
866MHz) mainboard.
In the device manager, the Adaptec comes up normally,
while one SCSI/RAID host controller comes up with the
yellow mark, and another comes up normally. The SCSI/RAID
controller marked yellow shows code 42 as an error (an
identical device is already active) Both CD-Rom devices
show code 19 as an error (configuration data in the
registry incomplete or damaged).
I already tried to remove and reinstall these devices a
dozen times, removed physically the SCSI Card, plugged it
in another slot. But NOTHING works. Before this happened,
the machine worked normally, under the same operating
system (Win XP Pro, int'l version, SR1, updates applied)
