I am trying to scan a document on to my computer and be
able to add new stuff tro the document on it after i scan
it any i deas will be helpfull thanx

Hi Christopher,
You would need OCR or Optical Character Recognition software - and it's =
not cheap. Check with your scanner manufacturer for recommended =
programs.

Check to see if your scanner didn't come with some type of OCR (Optical
Character Reader)software that allows you to do this..Many do--
My old Cannon scanner came with a software program called " Text Bridge" and
my new Epson came with one built in -- Doesn't even have a name - just
"Scan to OCR". You may have what you need and don't know it.---- If so,
read the instructions and go--

To add to what Rick posted:
Most scanners come with a "lite" version of OCR software.It may or may not
be up to the task that you need it for,but if it is you can save some major
bucks by using the included software.
