but XP is having knone of it can any body out there help

Have you went to canon websites and look for updated drivers
that will support win xp, give that a try.

You may want to go to the following site to see if canon supports xp drivers
for
your camera but if they don't welllllll.......I don't know........

Also to make compatable to XP try to Right-Click canon program select
compatability tab then select "Run this program in compatability mode for:"
and choose a Windows program one at time starting with Win95 on down the
list until your camera works.
