i have recently bought a old game which does not run on
xp it asks for windows 95 or 98 i was wondering if there
is any thing i could down load to get the game to run

Hello

Nope, you may have to contact the vendor or maker of that
game and getting their input ok. But if it says 95, 98, then
pretty much that's what it is, you may try to run it on XP but
I don't recomened that you do ok. Contact the maker

Install the program using compatibility mode, which tells
old games/programs that XP "is" (tell Bill Clinton is has a
definition) a version of Windows and they can run.

Most older applications, including games, work OK in Windows XP.
You may have to go to the manufacturer to get a patch, check the
website.
Compatibility Mode may also help:
Right click the icon, click Properties, click Compatibility tab.
