I bought my daughter a PC last year which came pre-
installed with Windows XP Home and an internal Samsung CD-
ROM/DVD combo. It now refuses to recognise audio CDs or CD-
ROMs (nothing happens when a CD is placed in the drive,
not even an error message)but it can still recognise and
play back DVDs.
Am I correct in thinking that a driver has been de-
installed (probably as a result of my daughter having
downloaded some software incorrectly), and, if so, how do
I go about re-installing one?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.
