Hi, i used to have the wireless optical desktop, but i
had to get a new mouse after the other stopped working.
But i still wanted to use the keyboard and naturally i
have to use it in the PS2 port otherwise the computer
thinks i have the old mouse mouse installed on the USB.
But for some reason i can't get any keyboard to work in
the PS2 port. The PS2 port used to work fine. I'm using
XP if thats any use.
Thanks, Jesson

Hello
Well sounds like you have a (bad) defective PS2 port
on your system brd, so that mean the brd will need to be replaced
or just use the USB port.

Is the keyboard showing up in Device Manager?, does Device Manager report
any problems with the keyboard [the dreaded yellow exclamation mark], if so
try double clicking on the problem device and there will be an explanation
to what the problem is.
Something to try:
In Device Manager
Click on view in the menu, check mark 'Show hidden devices'
In the tree in Device Manager open up Keyboards if there is multiple
instances of keyboards, or keyboard devices that have a shaded icon.
uninstall them all, click the ' Scan for Hardware Changes' Icon [its the one
with the computer and magnifying glass] in the toolbar of Device Manager. or
Install IntelliType.
