Dial-up problem

After configuring Dial-Up connection on my new DELL I have
managed to establish successful connection with my ISP.
But Internet Explorer still can't open any internet pages.
Tne Dial-Up settings exactly the same like I had on my old
PC with Windows 98 (it was working then with the same ISP
without any problems) so I believe they are OK.
May this is an operational system issue?

Can you ping www.cnet.com? Or ping 206.16.0.147? Try both these addresses
in IE too.
