View Full Version : CD-DVD autorun failure

Hi,

I have a problem with my CD and DVD drives. Whenever I
insert a disc - a new software or game, for example, the
installation window doesn't appear automatically, and I
have to install the program manually. Also, whenever I
put a music/DVD movie, it is not being played
automatically. It seems like there is a problem with the
autorun, but I have no idea how to fix it.
Note: At the begining, whenever I put a music CD, windows
asked me which program I would like to use in order to
run it - and I marked the media player and checked the
box that says "always perform the selected option" - but
it kept asking me the same question - so I asked it not
to do anything about it, and now - not only I can't play
music CD's automatically, but I can't also install a
program automatically through autorun (I don't know if
there is any connection to the failure of the
installation autorun that I mentioned before). If anyone
can help me fix this problem, I'll be thankful.

Open My computer, right click on the optical drive(s) and select Properties
and then click on the Auto Play tab. Adjust the properties to how you want
them to be.
