I got a virus on my computer which is now sorted due to
anti virus softwear. stupidly though i deleted an .exe
file needed to run a lot of things (rundl32.exe?) when i
panicked cos i had the virus on it. I have the xp cd and
am trying to use it to 'fix' xp. the problem is you must
run it as administrator, and i don thave a password for
it. I bought the comp of a friend and he has no idea what
it is either. surely there must be a way round this...ppl
must have forgotten a password before???

i have been told to use...

http://www.ebcd.i-am.ru/

Claims to "Change password of any user, including
administator of Windows

has anyone used this befoe and would u reccomend it???

I dont log on, I dont have user acounts set up on my
computer, so myself and anyone who uses it has
the 'standard' account.
The problem is, that since this problem, and losing the
exe file i cannot access things like the control panel so
it is a viscious circle...
