I removed my optical (Logitech) mouse and keyboard and
installed the manufacturers serial mouse and keyboard.
Once I changed the batteries in the optical equipment I
tried to connect again but Windows did not see this
equipment. If I removed the serial keyboard and mouse and
only have the optical connected (after restarting),
Windows XP still does not recognize this equipment. I
verified that the USB ports are working and that the
Logitech equipment functions on another pc so I am left to
assume there is an I/O or IRQ conflict of something like
that unless someone has a suggestion of what else I can
check. I had no problems installing this equipment the
first time - Windows recognized the equipment right away.
