XP Cd burner probs

Not sure if this is a hardware problem or software problem.
I burn a cd and it seems fine but when I pop it out then put it back in
thier is nothing thier. I check on other cd cplayers and they seem to find
the file just fine.
Here is what I have done.
1. I have updated the ASPI drivers.
2. I have set the Imapi service to automatic.
3. I have upgraded to service pack 1a.
the model is a toshiba 1900 satelite the drive is a combo drive
DVD-Reader\CD-Burner and it is hapenning on both of our models.
Is this Toshiba problem or XP?

If you have multiple CD roms the file may not be read as programs like WMP
don't seem to handle two cd players/burners too well.

Also, the problem may be the CD-Rom. Some CD-Burners have 'recommended'
blank CD's to use. I had this issue with my old Plextor.
