The reason you can't see the Sound Tab is that you're looking in the *wrong
place* for what you're trying to do. You've been looking in the Display
Properties dialogue box. It's not there. Go to Start>Control Panel>Sounds
and Audio Devices>Sounds Tab. If you prefer you can reach the Control Panel
by putting up the run box with the Windows key +R or you can go through the
Start menu.
