I have an Nvidia Geforce 2 MX graphics card, and have
recently updated the drivers to the latest from Nvidia.
It worked fine for a while, but now has this problem
where the display has lines all over it and distorts
everything to the point that it is unreadable, leaves
trails behind the mouse, and always comes up in 640x480
mode when I start the PC after it has been switched off
for a while. If I restart the PC, it comes back with no
problems at all, and is in my default resolution of
1024x768. I have tried uninstalling the Nvidia drivers
and using the original microsoft ones again, but no
change, I have also now completely reinstalled windows
after formatting the hard disk, but still have the same
problem (I have a second hard disk which i didn't format,
but used to keep all my files on whilst reinstalling
windows on the C drive - could it be a virus although I
have Norton 2002, with up to date definition files?).
Does anyone know what is happenning or how to fix it?
Please help!
