blue error screen

hi,
I recieve blue error screen with a message that computer
is going to shutdown to save the computer.When i checked
event manager the error was " The device,
\Device\Harddisk1\D, is not ready for access yet".

What does this mean and what i can do to solve it.

Could mean a drive is going bad. Check for events 9/111/15. Those all
indicate hardware failure. What was the blue screen?
