Hardware removal

I have this little icon that says Safely Remove
Hardware. I don't want to remove my ethernet card. That
is what it shows when I open it. How do I get that to go
away?
Please email me! I know nothing about computers besides
how to use the programs.

Just ignore it! That icon always appears if you have hardware connected
which can be connected or disconnected whilst the PC is running, but which
should really a

Just ignore it! That icon always appears if you have hardware connected
which can be connected whilst the PC is running, but which should really
have its software unloaded before disconnecting it.

The icon is not telling you to 'safely remove your hardware' merely offering
you the opportunity to do so, if you wish to.
