As a corporation we are not using local policies yet but I
would like to disable Explorer on our systems in the
warehouse that are using XP. Is there a way of doing that
in regedit?
Thanks

you can set security settings of administrators only and remove the all
users. or do you mean "internet explorer".
by right-clicking it, properties,
if you stop the service explorer.exe in task manager the system goes to a
blank screen until you "run task" to start it over.
you can make settings in group / local policy "gpedit.msc" on the local
machine if not networked.
