I got an Hitachi Deskstar back froma failed IBM deskstar, 80 GB but the PIN setting on the back is very confusing
I want to put this drive in the Secondary Ultra ATA 100 IDE connector.
In the Primary Ultra ATA 100 IDE connector I have already 2 other harddrives, 1 being thew Master, the other Slave.
I assume the IBM/Hitachi should be Master, am I right?
But I need to know the PIN setting, because the illustration is extremeley confusing.

Hopfully you are not putting this on the secondary with a CDrom drive. Have you tried the web site for a diagram.

If you have a CDROM connected to the secondary IDE port, set the CDROM jumper to "slave" and set the Hard drive to "master" even if you don't have a CDROM.
