Hi,
I have an Epon GT-5000 scanner. The scanner has a
parrallel interface only.
I have a bi-directiona parallel interface card. The
problem is this, I've upgraded to a
Dell 8200 running XP and the interface card doesn't fit
and there is only
one parrallel port for the printer. So now I cannot use
the scanner with
this machine.
Is there any way of hooking up the scanner?

Thanks,
Pat

Put the printer on the USB port?

Most parallel scanners have a "through" port that allow you to hook up an
lpt cable to it then another port to run a cable from the scanner to a
parallel printer. Are you sure that your scanner does not have this extra
connector?
