They are likely hidding in the content.ie5 folder.
C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temporary internet
files\content.ie5

On a related subject: is it safe to delete the files in C:\Documents and
Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp?

TIA.

Mike

it's a hidden folder. from the run box, type this in C:\documents and
settings\username\local settings\temporary internet
files\content.ie5 replace username with your user name. you can also
search for the folder, or from the temp internet file folder, add
\content.ie5 to the address bar. either way, its there and if you find it,
you will likely find your files.

Yes. A good time to do this is right after powering up the computer. If a
program installation had any files in the Temp folder waiting to be written
to the hard drive, that will already have taken place.

The surest way to delete temp files is to right click on the start button
and select search. Then make sure you pick your main drive--probably the C
drive--and change the search settings to search hidden folders. In the
search box type ".tmp" without the quotation marks. You will be surprised at
what shows up in the results.
