I have several issues since installing SP1 for WIN XP Home
Edition. For instance, my DVD-ROM / CD-RW drive will no
longer play DVD's correctly, but the CD portion works
fine. I have installed the patch from Microsoft regarding
this issue; however, this didn't clear up the trouble. I
also tried System Restore to pre-SP1 state. Did not help.
Secondly, I am also having trouble with my firewire
external enclosure reading my DVD burner, since installing
SP1.
Microsoft wants to charge me $35 to assist me with a
problem that their Service Pack caused. Anyone have
another solution?
