I attempted to uninstall Windows Messenger via the
instructions provided in another post (see instructions
below) but received the following message:
"This action is only valid for products that are
currently installed"
Any suggestions?
------------------------
"However, if you wish to do it "by the book", you can
uninstall Windows Messenger 5 by first
making sure that Windows Messenger is shut down (right-
click its icon in the notification
area/system tray, and choose Exit), then click Start,
then Run, and type in the following:
msiexec /x {4A432C6C-1E20-4266-95D1-5782349C6C62}
then click OK and after uninstallation, reinstall Windows
Messenger 4.7"

Greetings Mark,
This is an old post and is no longer valid with the latest Windows Messenger 5. The correct
command now is:
msiexec /x {1F0BD960-6525-4FEE-B577-2473F77F1277}
