I have a Mentor TV card - model 878TV w/FM. Will this card work under
XP with all features (TV tuner, video capture, FM radio and Teletext)
with existing Win 95/98 drivers or will I need new XP drivers? If I
do need new drivers where do I get them from?
TIA

You will need XP drivers (if they even exist). I have never heard of this
brand of card, but they should have a website where you can go and look for
WinXP drivers. I did a quick search on google and this is definitely a
bargain basement variety card. I found no direct support website, and too
numerous posts regarding video and audio problems with this particular card.
I would recommend the purchase of a new card that can give you the benefits
that WinXP offers, as well as doing a better job of PVR functions than this
card is capable of.

You will need new drivers for XP. They may be on the XP CD
already or you may need to check the Mentor website.

Thanks for your quick response guys. I still couldn't find Mentor's
own website but I did find the UK distributor's site:
http://www.lightcomputers.com/brands/mentor.htm
This led me to the driver for the chipset on this card and it
apparently works with XP:
http://www.linden-computech.com/download/TV/TV99PRO_driver.htm
I hope this may be of some use to someone else with one of these
cards.
Thanks again.
