Hi
I have a time traveller p4 2.2GHz laptop running
windows XP home and a SiS650 32Mb graphics chipset. I've
been running this same machine, with pretty much the same
confuguration for nine months (see P.S. below), however
just recently i have been recieving infinite loop error
that result in windows 'crashing'

On both occasions i have left my laptop on over night,
with no graphics intensive programs running, only to wake
up to my logon screen desplayed in an extremely low
colour depth. I restart and everything seemss to be fine,
all except for the error of course which windows
describes as a 'serious error'. Anyways after the first
instance of this i upgraded the driver with the latest
from the SiS website but it happened again.

As i said i am not running any programs intensive on the
graphics card (or at least i dont think so), i've tried
running all the Direct X tests as i was told they should
crash if there was a problem but they worked fine.

I may have missed something out, so if you need anything
else just ask, please help!

P.S. My HD did crash a few weeks back and had to be
replaced, however to the best of my knowledge no other
hardware was altered and i reinstalled everything to the
exact standard as before. I also converted the drive from
Fat32 to NTFS, but scince i updated the drivers after
this to no avail i guese this has no baring.
