Com Ports

In Windows XP Pro is there some way to remotely share the com port? I need
to be able to share the com port of a remote PC to use it as if it was
connected to my PC. When I run a certain piece of software, I need that
software to act as the hardware of a remote PC was connected to my PC.

PS The software CAN NOT be installed on the remote PC that I need to access.

Have you checked the KB yet? I beleive there's an article there on how to
do this.
