about 2 months ago i had a user who CDROM drive wouldn't
show up in Win XP. Now if you had the drive opened
before getting into XP or if you just went into the BIOS
then the drive would pop up fine - but if you don't do
anything and just boot up then the drive is not ther.
Nothing in explorer - nothing in device manager - nothing
at all. I have tried a couple of fixes - one was going
into REGEdit and deleting some keys and another was a
CDROM fix of some sort - both with no success. I thought
it was an isolated PC, but now my PC is doing the same
thing - does anybody have any ideas?
thanks,
Rich
