D Drive keeps opening and closing

On startup, the D:\ drive bay starts opening and
closing, with or without CD in it. Has done this for
months, getting progressively worse, until now it does it
without ceasing. All diagnostics say D:\ drive is working
perfectly.

I am also having the same problem.
Anyone have any suggestions??

Have searched for virus with AVP and Macafee Free scan
and both come up with nothing.
