My printer stopped working. Says there is no printer
installed. It worked about a month ago. I uninstalled
printer and tried reinstalling it, but then I get to
where it says No Ports Found. I checked my port and it
said it was working fine. I checked the net spooler it
says it is started. I am running Windows XP on a Hewlett
Packard. How can I get the computer to recognize my
ports. I also tried updating driver and it is up to
date. I am running out of ideas. Also when I try to add
printer from Control Panel, it says Operation could not
be completed. Thanks for any help.

Which make and model of printer and to what kind of port are you connecting
it (or trying to connect it?!)?

The printer is a HP Deskjet 610cl and the port is LPT1.
Hope this helps. Thanks for the help.
