Whenever I turn my computer on, my modem does not appear as being connected
to any com port, and I have to go through the wizard (with the modem turned
on) to get windows to recognise that the modem is present.
I have been told that this is referred to as 'The incredibly sensitive modem
problem in Windows XP". Does anybody know how to fix this?
Modem is a Hayes Accura 56K Ext Speakerphone PnP. I have tried in both COM
ports, with no success.
Any replies to please.
Thanks in advance.
