I sign on every morning to a sql server and that is my domain. After a
while I try to run my vb.net application in the VS developer and I get a
SSPI error. I try to go thru my server explorer and I get the same error.
It seems to drop me from my development server. I have to reboot and
everything works fine for a while and it happens again. I am using another
server for in-house software and the user profile is the same but the
password is different from the development server. Any help would greatly
appreciated.

Hi:
The problem looks like the down level problem in the network, ADO or ADO.net.
The reason that we think this is that two different application (Vb.net application and
the Server explorer.) The commonality of two are the downlevel net work.
ADO.net/ADO As you describe, it was working for a while and somehow the connection
will drop and the application stop to work.
Couple more information will help us to understand your sitation. Then we can try to
figure why it cause the problem.
1. what O.S and service pack you are using?
2. Is your development server & another Server in the same Domain?
3. Do you recently change your password (possible replication error )
4. What do you mean by different password but user profile is the same?
5. What's the complete SSPI error message?
6. Can you try to use Query Analyzer to connect? (So we have better idea that
if other application have the same problem not just VS have this problem.)
7. What VS product you are using? VS.net VS.net2003 ?
Thanks,
Ming
