Respectively, packet writing and track writing. Both are methods of burning
data on a CD.

: What is Universal Disk Format (UDF) and ISO 9660 Format?

UDF is used by most packet writing software. This allows
for drag-n-drop operation similiar to using a floppy disk.
It is not readable by default on a fresh machine and a UDF
reader needs to be installed. This is what is used by
Prassi abCD or Roxio Direct CD

ISO9660 is a standard which is readable by most computer
platforms, be it MAC, UNIX, Linux, etc. To properly use
this you should follow the 8.3 file conventions.
