Lately I've been having a problem with the displaying of icons in the
notification area. They
disappear during screen refreshes, usually after using Taskmanager.
When I try to restart them, I get messages indicating that they are already
running. When I check the TaskManager, the appropriate processes are
showing as running.
Obviously, I cannot click to use any of them. If I try to open them, they
usually reappear after the error messages. Then a little while later, they
disappear.
The affected icons are for:
Canon Printer Status
Brawny Lads yProxy
Media Key Keyboard Utility
Creative Labs volume control
The icons for Norton Antivirus, Zone Alarm and my Internet Connection
persist just fine.
Any ideas?
I have an
ASUS P4GE-V motherboard
P4 2.53 Intel Chip with 512K L2 cache
512M of PC2700 DDR ram
nVidia Gforce Video card with 64M of ram
Envision 17" Flat Screen Monitor (Not LCD)
Soundblaster Audigy2 soundcard
Canon i850 USB photoprinter
