Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the windows task manager,
close ALL programs excelpt an OS programs like system
etc, As for the screensaver, right-click on any part of
the desktop, click on properties and then the screensaver
tab, where there is a drop-down box of all the installed
screensavers select none (this should be right at the top)
Also, near the clock, there should be a host of icons,
this is the system tray, close as many as you can, you
should only have the Volume control left, if you are
unsure, leave it!
Hope this goes well,
