Quite simply I want my status bar on IE and Explorer to be
viewable by default. I can easily turn it on under "view" when I
want, but it doesn't seem to stay on. I never turn it off, but I do
find myself having to often turn it back on. I'm not sure why.

Any ideas on how to FORCE the status bar to be viewable every time I
open IE or Explorer?

Thanks in advance

Hi

After you have enabled the Status Bar in Windows Explorer, go to
Tools>Folder Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders' - this will
set the Status Bar in IE as well.
