Hi,

I recently formatted my Hard Drive due to what I believed to be a virus on
my PC which infected all EXE files and created lots of weird folders. After
formatting, I ran into some trouble with my GEFORCE 3, the PC just had a
black screen with the latest detonator drivers so I decided to use the
driver on the graphics card CD which worked fine.

Now again I have just discovered 405 folders in my C drive which I am unable
to delete:
Please see this screen shot (33K):

Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks for any help!!!

Gary.

The question that begs to be asked is have youscanned your system with an UP
TO DATE virus scan engine? Have you checked for worms or trojans? There
are variants of viruses that can survive a format, unless you did a
low-level format and a wipe. This may be what you have. or you could of
had a worm and someone knows your macine and what ports are open and was
able to access your machine again even after you formatted. You should be
running a good firewall, such as zonealarm.
