a virius killed my exe, tmp and scr files

INFECTED!!! i cannot boot i get a page fault :fault in
paging file" fatal blue screenerror.
got norton anti virus and fixed it but all my EXE files
were quaaarrrintined i could not restore them. now i have
an unbootable SoNY VIAO

if i download a boot setup cdrom from MSN.com will that
save me??

Get your Norton or McAfee CD out (or go buy one), they are
bootable and will boot to the CD and not the infected hard
drive.

Since you can't boot you can't do an on-line scan.

reinstalling your OS may be a good thing at this point
i usually don't recomend it except in the event of serious
viral damage
