prolly this question doesn't fit this newsgroup but i felt no harm in asking
....

I've an nVidea 440MX chipset graphics card.
Here's the URL of the product :
http://www.ennyah.de/english/products/components/vga/geforce4_mx440_8x.htm

on my card, the fan mounted on the heatsink of the chipset has got spoilt
and i cant find a fan which will fit
on the heatsink ..
my computer is sometimes on for 3 continuous days ..
wanted to ask if it is wise to use the computer without that fan running ?

thanks,

greetings,
Puneet.

I'm no hardware expert -- which is why I enjoy lurking in this group -- but
it seems to me that your card has a heatsink fan for good reason. You may do
permanent damage to your card without it.
